Graig Meyer for NC Senate

Representing Orange, Caswell, and Person Counties

I can still create a podcast one-handed and I am pleased to share my conversation with NC Rep Graig Meyer, who is running for a seat in the NC Senate. He helps us understand the landscape of NC elections as well as his campaign.

I worked in a Carolina basketball metaphor—GO HEELS!

Transparency: I consider Graig to be a friend, and I have donated to his campaign. I am proud to support his run for NC Senate.

Graig Meyer is running for North Carolina Senate in District 23 representing Orange, Caswell and Person Counties.

Representative Graig Meyer has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2013. He represents House District 50, serving constituents in Orange and Caswell Counties.

As a trained social worker, Meyer approaches his public service through the desire to help people connect to the resources they need. His legislative priorities include ensuring every child receives a good education, families have access to good jobs and health care, addressing the global climate crisis, and ensuring every North Carolinian their full rights to justice and representation.

He successfully passed legislation to help families save money to care for their children with disabilities through adulthood; to help parents protect their children from online identity theft; to make it easier for families to set up guardianships for aging adults; and to reduce the cost of home mortgage processing.

Graig has been recognized for his legislative leadership by Equality NC as Legislator of the Year, the League of Conservation Voters with their Green Tie Rising Star award and by the Young Democrats of North Carolina with their Legislator of the Year award.
